Understanding Workflows
Contract Logix provides automation tools for contract lifecycle management for accounts which have purchased them. In short, Workflows are a series of actions accomplishing one or more steps, most automated, in a contract business process.
The Workflow Warning icon alerts authorized users that a problem exists with a workflow. Examples of failure conditions that will be reported include things like missing End statements, failure to generate a document due to problems in the template or a template that was archived, etc. The icon only appears if there are warning messages and is only visible to users in roles where the “Warning Messages” item is turned ON in Feature Access.
In the message list, clicking on a message will take the user to the affected record (e.g., Contract) so that the problem can be fixed. Clicking on the View Workflow link opens the associated workflow. In the record, clicking the Resume button will enable you to resume the workflow process after the issue is fixed.
In addition to the Workflow Warning icon, an option in the Workflow Meta Data for a workflow features the Workflow Warnings Email Recipient(s) toggle. This toggle controls if an email notification is sent in the event of an with the Workflow. When toggled ON, click to open the Workflow Warnings Email Recipient(s) pop-up window. Click
and use the drop-down to select the type of recipient, and once recipients have been selected, click
.
NOTE: The drop-down for recipient type is dynamic based on the Workflow type.
