Assignments are a unique Object Type where the purpose of the record is to recognize the transfer of Contract Assets, usually from one organization/company or owner to another. These "assets" can be physical or non-physical in nature, and the record in the system will always have a Contract association (i.e., A parent and child record relationship).
For each Assignment record, Contract Assets will be transferred from the parent Contract record to the Assignment. Once transferred, the assets will no longer appear in the parent Contract record.
NOTE: Access to Assignments must be activated in a users Permissions from Org Roles/Permissions in Application Settings. Tenant Owners will always see Assignments regardless of access permissions.
