How to Set Up a Conditional Field

Information on how to configure a Conditional Field in Contract Logix

A conditional field is a field that is shown or hidden depending on the value of another field. The conditions or rules that determine whether the field will be shown or hidden are set up in Field Settings on the Conditions/Rules tab.

Follow the steps below to configure a Conditional Field:

  1. In Type Manager, click the cog icon to open Field Settings for the field you wish to show or hide.

  2. Select the Conditions/Rules tab.

  3. Use the By Default switch to select the default behavior (Hide or Show)

  4. Create the Conditional Rule. The first (blank) rule is displayed for you. To add more rules, click .

  5. From the drop-down, select the field on which to base the condition.

  6. Select an operator, e.g., “equal”, “not equal”, etc.

  7. Select the value in the based-on field.

  8. Click .

  9. Click .
