By using a pre-formatted Excel spreadsheet, the Object Data Import Tool provides a way to import and/or update Contact, Contract, and Organization records in the system, including the capability to capture the contract version. Contract Logix provides a formatted Excel spreadsheet that you complete with the path to your contract files and supporting materials, as well as the relevant metadata, for bulk import. Then, the path to your organization's contract files and supporting materials are mapped to be included to the records in a bulk import.

NOTE: The corresponding data fields must already exist in the layout of the record type prior to import, meaning the Import Data feature first requires the configuration of the fields so the data can be imported to the appropriate field.
Steps for using the Data Import feature:
While logged into the application, click
to open the Application Settings.Next, click
and then select the
button at the top of the page.On the Import: Contract page, use Step 1: and click
to download a blank (but formatted) import sheet.The Import Template you downloaded is an Excel spreadsheet having 3 tabs. Copy your data into the proper columns on these tabs.
Next, browse for the completed file or drag-and-drop it into the Step 2 box, and select the Next button in Step 3 for data for proper import.

The Contract Logix system will analyze your completed Import Template file for any errors. If there are any, click the Go Back button to correct them and try again.
Click the Finish button to complete the data import.

NOTE: When you select the Finish button, the system will prompt you to browse or drag and drop the contract files themselves to complete the import.
