Once you have added new fields, use this procedure to position them within a record type layout.
Locate the field you want to add in the Fields list at the right. You can enter all or part of the field name in the Search fields… box to quickly find the field in the list.
Drag the field into the desired location until a gray dotted-line box appears and drop it into the layout.
Once on the layout, you can use the mouse to drag the field to a new location if desired or to increase or decrease the field width.

Resetting a Layout to the System Default
After editing a layout, if you want to revert to the out-of-the-box layout for that object, click
in the menu bar.
