Clauses are pre-written segments or blocks of text (not already in Contract Logix) that are utilized in Contract Templates, and these templates are used to generate "First party" or "Your paper" Contract documents.

NOTE: Clauses and Templates are a feature available only in accounts which have paid for them.

When a Clause is no longer needed (rather than simply updated), it can be Archived and therefore removed from any Template which uses it.

Follow the steps below to archive a Clause:

  • In the Application Settings, click .

  • Locate and click the checkbox next to the ID/Name of the Clause or Clauses to archive.

  • Next, select .

  • The Clauses are removed from the list of Clauses in the grid.

Follow the steps below to restore an archived Clause:

  • In the Application Settings, click Clauses.

  • In he list of Clauses, locate and click the checkbox.

  • On the Archived Clauses grid, locate and click the checkbox next to the ID/Name of the Clause or Clauses to restore.

  • Next, select the archived clause. Locate and click the button.

NOTE: Restore restores the Clause to the list of Clauses but does not return it to any templates it wain before it was archived; you'll need to add them back manually.
