Understanding Tasks

A Task is a user review to be performed and completed in the system for a record. Tasks can be assigned to any type of record (Contract, Contact, Organization, Assignment, or Request). New tasks may be created manually from within a record's Tasks sub-grid or via the Tasks main grid and then associated with an existing record. Tasks may also be created via a workflow.

The Tasks icon in the toolbar lets you see at a glance how many tasks you have been assigned.

  • Hover over or click on the icon to view a list of tasks.

  • Each entry includes the Task Type and Task ID, the External Org, the associated record (ID# and Title), the Status and Days to Due Date, the Assigned to and Assigned by user as well as the Due Date.

  • The following status icons may appear above the Due Date: , , , or (within 7 days).
