How to Submit a Request for an Organization

NOTE: Requests are a feature available in accounts which have paid for them.

Understanding Requests

A Request is a user's wish to add a record. This is usually a request for a new Contract, but can also be an amendment or addendum to an existing Contract record or even a new Contact or Organization record.

From the homepage, click the New Request Action Tile or select REQUESTS on the navigation menu, and then select . Next, click on the menu bar.

Select Organization from the Object Type dropdown.

Select the desired type from the Organization Type dropdown.

Select a request form from the drop-down labeled Request Types.

Fill out the form. Required field are indicated by *.

Optional: Add documents to the request. For more information, click the How to Add a Document link.

Optional: Add tasks to the request. For more information, click the How to Add a Task link.

Finally, to submit the request now, click .

NOTE: The Submit button may have a different label, depending on how the form was set up. For example:

To save what you’ve done so far and submit the request later, click. All required fields must be complete before you can save.

What happens next:

The system assigns a Request ID and adds the record to the Requests grid. For more information, click the How to View Requests link.

When submitted, the Request Status changes from “Pending” to “Submitted”. Saved requests remain “Pending” until submitted.

Users reviewing a submitted request may either:

(1) Click Convert to Organization to accept it and convert it to an Organization record. Request Status changes to “Converted”. For more information, click the How to Convert a Request to a Record link.

(2) Click to reject it and send it back to the submitter, who may revise it and . The Request Status changes to “Rejected” and is flagged with a warning icon. For more information, click the How to Reject a Request link.

(3) Click to decline it, in which case it can no longer be edited or resubmitted. Request Status changes to “Declined”. For more information, click the How to Decline a Request link.
