NOTE: Requests are a feature available in accounts which have paid for them.

Understanding Requests

A Request is a user's wish to add a record. This is usually a request for a new Contract, but can also be an amendment or addendum to an existing Contract record or even a new Contact or Organization record.

To view requests, on the homepage click REQUESTS on the navigation menu. Request Contracts is visible, but there may also be Request Contacts and Request Organizations, as seen below.

The Requests grid includes columns for the Request Type, the Request Stage (always “Request”) the Request Status (see options below) and whether the request is for a “New Or Existing” contract.

Request Status:

  • Pending: initial status before a request has been submitted

  • Submitted: status once request has been submitted for the first time.

  • Converted: status once request has been converted to a contract

  • Rejected: status if request is rejected. Email sent to submitter with reason. Submitter may edit and resubmit.

  • Resubmitted: status if submitter submits again.

  • Declined: status if request is declined. No further editing or resubmitting allowed.

If the request pertains to an amendment or addendum to an existing contract, a section at the top provides existing contract info.

To preview documents uploaded along with the request, scroll to the Documents section and click on the document icon.

If the request has been rejected or declined, you can view the rejection or declined notes by clicking above either the Request Stage or Request Status fields to display the Request Stage & Status tracking grid.

To make it easy to switch between viewing the Contract and viewing the Request, the following menu items appear in the menu bar of both Request and Contract after conversion:

NOTE: Users having a Submitter subscription license can only see their own requests and are not allowed to view contracts.
