Use this procedure to check a document out for electronic signature. Once checked out, the document is locked in Contract Logix to prevent anyone from editing it.
NOTE: Documents may also be sent for E-Signature from a Collaboration Room. For additional information, click the End with E-Signature Option link.
From the menu bar in either the Document Details or Document Preview page, click

and select Send Document for E-signature.
Set the Use Email Template toggle to the desired position (YES or NO).
If you are using a template, select it from the drop-down. You can modify the information carried over from the email template before sending it out by setting the Edit Email toggle to YES. Edits you make here only apply to this email and do not modify the template.
If you are not using a template, add your own Email Subject and Email Body.
NOTE: Sertifi uses its own email subject instead of the one displayed here. However, this will merge into the body of the email.
Enter Notes (optional). Notes appear after the body text in the email and in Document Activity sub-grid on the Document Details page.
Additional/Reference Documents – Use the drop-down to select and add more documents to send along with this one. Additional documents must be associated with the same parent record and cannot be checked out. For each additional document added to the list, select the type - Additional Document (signature needed) or Reference Document (just for reference).
Select a Recipient Type (contact, user, or email address) and then select the user or contact or enter the recipient’s name and email address Click the appropriate button:

(for email addresses). Repeat for additional recipients. As the sender, you will have two distinct options to control how signatories or stakeholders will be notified regarding the signature process:
A. Signer - the signatory will be informed when all other signatures are complete
B. Notification - the stakeholder will be informed when each individual signatory signs
Optional: For non-signers who will only get a courtesy notification, use the drop-down to change Signer to Notification.
You can use Drag and Drop to change the order of signers if needed.
(Optional) When sending to Sertifi, you can add signature locations now. For more information, click the Prefill/Add Signature Locations link.
