Standard Field Configuration

NOTE: To use AI-Driven Contract Analysis and Data Extraction (AI DE, for short), activation in the record layout fields is necessary, however customization of the prompt (in Standard, Out-of-the-Box fields) is optional. All standard and newly created Custom Fields added to a contract record layout are AI DE capable except for Contract ID and Title, which are set by the system and are NOT editable, customizable, or available for AI DE.

Configuration

Contract layouts feature many common data fields, including Party, Counterparty, Contract Status, Effective Date, Etc. These fields, when populated with information, provide the basis of the Alerts and Reporting capabilities in Contract Logix. These common fields are found in most contract documents, and AI DE can extract and auto-populate the fields in new contract records.

For AI DE to extract information, it is necessary to activate the feature in each field you want it to extract from within a contract document file being uploaded. To activate and configure the Field Settings, perform the following:

  • From the Homepage, click the Application Settings icon .

  • Click .

  • Select a Contract Type (e.g., default).

  • Locate and click the of the Contract Type field.

  • In the pop-up window, click the Data Extraction tab, and then locate and click the Enable Data Extraction toggle to ON.

In the field, two sub-tabs appear: All Contract Types and This Type.

All Contract Types

This Type

The prompt entered in the Description applies to all contract types currently configured in the system.

Click the Customize toggle to ON to override the more global All Contract Types. By doing so, the prompt in the Description will only apply to this Contract Type.

The Description field for the All Contract Types tab contains standard prompt language which can be modified. In this example, the Description for Contract Value in Type Manager, as seen in the example below:

What is the total contract value of this agreement? Return the total costs only in currency format.
