Understanding Contract Type Aliases
If the Contract Type used in the documents (files) is named or spelled differently from the contract type, you can set a mapping between the document and (an existing) contract type in the application. Meaning, when a unique file being extracted can be classified in Type Manager, then Contract Type Aliases for Data Extraction is available to processes the file as an existing Contract Type. For example, when uploading a General Services Agreement (GSA), AI DE can extract the file as a Master Services Agreement (MSA) record when the MSA Contract Type already exists in Type Manager, as seen in the graphic below.
To configure Contract Type Aliases for Data Extraction, follow the steps below:
From the Homepage, click
to visit the Application Settings.In Application Settings, click
from the left-hand Menu.In Type Manager, select Contracts from the Object Types drop-down menu if not already selected.
Locate the name of the Contract Type you want to use when there is an Alias contract type being extracted, then click the
icon.In the Contract Type Aliases pop-up window, click
.Next, in the Name field, enter the name of the alias or aliases that when extracted, map to the existing Contract Type in the application.
When finished, click
