NOTE: AI-Driven Contract Analysis and Data Extraction features are available only in accounts which have paid for them.
Performing an Extraction
Once the Data Extraction toggles for each field in a Contract layout have been activated and configured (see: Configuring AI-Driven Contract Analysis and Data Extraction), the process for using AI Data Extraction is a simple as adding a new contract to the system, as explained in the following steps:
Click Contracts from the Records main menu on the left of the Homepage.
Click
at the top left of the Contracts Grid page.Choose "Upload Existing Contract Document" from the New Contract pop-up window.
In the Upload Existing Contract Document window, drag and drop a file into the dropzone or click the dropzone to select a file from your computer. NOTE: The maximum file size is 20 MB.
Next, when the file appears in the window, select

The contract import process then begins. As the import proceeds, an on-screen status report displays the steps in the process until complete. NOTE: If the system cannot identify the Contract Type, or the Contract Type does not already exist in your account, a warning message “No Contract Type Found” appears. A Contract Type drop-down menu appears for you to select an appropriate Contract type for the file being imported, as seen below:
To continue, choose from the list of existing Contract Types, and then click Continue. The extraction process will continue until complete.
