Addendum creates a new, child contract record linked to the original by the Master Contract Field. When to use: You have a signed agreement and need to add a new document, such as a Statement of Work (SOW). Addendum creates a new contract record linked to the original as a child record.
How to Create an Addendum
Open the "Parent" Contract record.
Select Addendum from the
drop-down menu.Enter Notes for Addendum in the comments box.
Click OK.
The Addendum option copies the original record, opens the new record under a new contract ID, and automatically links the addendum record (via the Master Contract field) back to the original record. In the original record, an entry stating that here is an addendum is added to the Contract Version History grid (see below) and a row for the new record is added to the Child Contracts mini grid.
