Like Amendment, Manual creates a new version of the contract record. When to use: You want to preserve a version of a contract record so you can refer back to it later but are not adding a formal amendment.
How to Create a Manual Version
Open the Contract record.
Click
and Manual from the drop-down menu.Enter notes for the manual version in the Comments box
Click OK.
Click . Upon saving, you will be asked if you want to make this the Active Version*. Select Yes or No.
A new version is created and displayed. The new version has the original contract record ID with a Version number and the label (Manual) added. The Version number is also a drop-down field that allows you to quickly open a different version.
An entry is added to Contract Version History. The Version Type is Manual, and the notes entered by the user, the date the new version was created, and the user who added the version appear in the entry.
*NOTE: The Active Version is the version which appears in the Contracts grid and is the version to which the system will always navigate. All other versions are inactive, though they can be viewed by selecting them from the Version drop-down in the contract record header or the Contract Version History grid.
